What a mess

I recently went to NY and saw many a things, one of which was lady liberty. The sight of her was awesome yet in quit another way was highly disopointed. Allow me to illuminate upon this thought; as you walk towards this majestic lady you begin to fill up with excitment and intrigue as to how she will look up close and in real life. However, as you draw closer to good ol' lady liberty you begin to get bombarted with people selling strange little pictures and items, these items are supposed to make your visit complete and satisfying. However as you look around and see the many hoards spending their hard earned cash, you begin to realize once they get home what was treasured and viewed as a must to there experience will begin to collect dust upon a shelf in their house and will soon there after be put in a box or taken to your local good will. However, even in light of this reality many knowing this will happen continue to put their money into the hands of these capitalists, who care nothing for our country or its history. This is the very thing we are made to believe makes america great! well, I for one am not buying it.
This all to say, NY was an experiance I will not soon forget, but not for any good reason.
