Nathan - 176 -- weight difference = 4 lbs

Molly - 131 -- weight diferfence = 2 lbs

Carla - 144 -- weight difference = 4 lbs

WE have yet to eat the turkey dinner!!!!
ck back after 4:01pm for further info.

5:31pm

delirium has set in...we are starting to hope that the 7:30pm weigh out time will come soon.

6:02pm

Jeremy - 181 = 7 lbs

Nathan - 180 = 8 lbs

Molly - 134 = 5 lbs

Carla - 144 = 4 lbs

We are now at 1 hr 24 min till weigh out time.

Half an hour till weigh out, we begin to think this may have not been such a good idea.

Molly begins to ask if we can just weigh out and get it over with.

Jeremy begins to realize his imminent defeat has drawn all to close.

Nathan begins eating a very large bowl of frosted mini-wheats, and drinks a very large glass of milk, seeking only to ensure victory.

Carla laughs care free of any desire or thought to win this stupid contest.

7:30pm - D-Day
it's weigh out time and it has come none to soon, we all limp in pain towards the white machine that will tell us how successful our day has been, and who the champion will be this year. We all walk towards the scale with our own brand of expectation, and wonder. There is concern in Jeremy's walk, he looks less sure of himself than did he at 9:48 this morning. Molly, walks wondering if she will pull off the upset over her husband and his brother? Nathan, walks...stops...winces...wonders if he can make it to the scale, and if he will indeed reach the all to high mark he has set for himself.
Carla bounds towards the scale with glee and freedom from any discomfort.
All at once we reach the scale. Father has agreed to be the "official" weigh out ref. Molly steps up on the scale, what will she have done with her efforts? The numbers come...135. She has gained 6 pounds today. She steps off, unsure of herself wondering if this will be enough to pull of the upset.
Jeremy steps up and on the scale, he can't look he is sick with uncerntainty. What will be said of him after this day, will he wear the victors crown? The numbers come from below...182 and 1/2...he has gained 8 & 1/2 pounds!!! enough to pull into first place, he steps off the scale happy with himself for beating his previous best by almost 2 pounds. At the same time he wonders if it will be enough for ultimate victory?
Carla steps on the scale caring not for victory or failure, simply to show she has what it takes to hang with the big boys. Then the numbers come...147 She has beaten her sister-in-law, yet failed to gain the ultimate victory so cuvitated by the family. She has however, shown herself to be able to "hang". There now remains only one who needs to weigh out, Nathan. He begins to wonder; will I have what it takes to win this a second time? will I be able to gain what I predicted? (11 pounds) will I be beat by my own wife and sister-in-law? Will I suffer the ultimate humiliation?...He steps forward toward the scale, one foot on, then the other, all surround him in expectation of what numbers will come from the official, he then rests his full weight on the scale. Gets situated. Then waits to hear the numbers...they come...his heart begins to pound, the first number comes, its a 1, then a deep breath what will the next number be? If it is anything less than an 8 he loses and suffers humiliation. The number comes...and it's an 8, his hearts springs forth with joy, there is hope. He can still win this thing. The next number must be at least a one for him to win, a zero does no good. Jeremy begins to sweet in anticipation. He begins to think that his 8 & 1/2 pounds will not be enough, but will they? The final number comes from the official...3. The three others can't believe what they just heard! They ask again for the official weight, 183 comes the answer. Nathan has not only won the contest he has become the Babe Ruth of eating, able to predict his weight gain before it happens! He has gained 11 pounds in a single day. Nathan though in pain lets out with a loud shout. For the joy of the victory was more than he could keep in.

There are many who say that Mr. Clinton did much for us in his presidency. One need only look at this photo to know what he did for the US.

What a great example for us and our children. How could we ever say he was selfish and self serving during the entirety of his presidency. He surly never lied to us...did he?
"I can tell you that the decisions we made, we made because we thought they were in the interests of the American people,"--Bill Clinton, on being asked why he signed waivers, against the Pentagon's protest, to sell Loral missile guidance systems technology to Communist China, enabling China for the first time to launch nuclear weapons.
(May 18, 1998 edition of the Washington Times, front page)

"It depends on what the meaning of the words 'is' is." –Bill Clinton, during his 1998 grand jury testimony on the Monica Lewinsky affair

"It depends on how you define alone…" –Bill Clinton, "There were a lot of times when we were alone, but I never really thought we were." –Bill Clinton, in his grand jury testimony

"What's a man got to do to get in the top fifty?" –Bill Clinton, reacting to a survey of journalists that ranked the Monica Lewinsky scandal as the 53rd most significant story of the century

Those are some tell tale quotes but the one that takes the cake for me is...

"I may not have been the greatest president, but I've had the most fun eight years." –Bill Clinton

Sure thats why we american vote, so the guy put into office come say I had fun.

Thanks again Mr. Clinton for all you did for our country. Hopefully we can get a second round with your wife...NOT!

“Every time an American soldier gets blown to smithereens in Iraq, we rejoice. God orders us to.” – Fred Phelps

Are we thinking about God at all?
To me it appears that People have forsaken the ability to think for the ability to regurgitate. Why do we continually drag God's name through the mud as we go forth in our proud arrogance. Does God not call us to humility? Philippians 2:4-8

Are we being careful with what we are saying?

I know that the second picture is just a mistake, but the truth remains. Words are so powerful, we many times forget the power and awesome responsibility our words hold. So many times we speak without truly contemplating the meaning of what were going to say. This is something that I know that I must get better at, but is so very hard. We don't want to respond after thinking we want to respond out of our emotions. There is very little within us that says: "hey stop for a second, maybe that is not what they meant" we just want to go after the point that stood out to us and defeat their proposition. I believe so many times in our lives we have not lived out the proverbs passage where it says: "better for a fool to stay silent then to open his mouth and prove himself one." We are all fools and when we respond from our own understanding we will always prove ourselves as such.

May God remind me to respond from His wisdom instead of my own.

aM i a liAr?

If any of you read or have read "no title no purPOSE" than you may be wondering what in the world I am doing writing so much in this blog. Well, we all can be inspired to change, and I am trying to challenge myself to write more often, so whether you read this blog or not I am trying to converse more through writing than I have in the past. We'll see how it goes...

This blog is most definitly a collection of my random thoughts and opinions on several different things, it however will more than likely take a turn towards my thoughts on Christianity and our beliefs and what the world thinks of our beliefs. In turn my beliefs will come out and be shared. I don't pretend to know much about anything but I do think right now if for no other reason than for myself I need to be writing, sharing where I am at.

Enjoy...

QueStionS?...dO we HavE anSwerS?...sHouLd wE?

If one were to ask ones self questions, and those questions had perhaps open ended answers to them, would that person have to go and find the answers or could he/she simply leave them to further thought?

If God is everywhere is He in Hell?

What is the percentage of prayers answered?

Why are we so fond of missing the mark?

Why does God allow people who are not Christians, who call themselves such to do so much wrong?

Why do we both desire to be with God and desire to be alone?

If America is or every was a "Christian" Nation why has it done so many thing that are so very against what God would want?

What does "real" Christianity look like?

Why does God allow cults to lead people astray?

Could we...have we been perfect today? than why do we judge others?

could I be one of the Christians that makes people think there is no power in Christ's sacrifice?

You should know if there are reasons why you believe or don't believe, but you MUST know that in the end you simply must make a choice what to believe in. We can give facts and evidence for whatever belief system we want, but those only lead to a choice from within.
